Saturday, April 14 Students' Paint out for ages 5-College. 10am-noon in the Pier Village

Sunday, April 15-Tuesday April 17 Andy Peters' Workshop

Wednesday, April 18 Day 1 of Plein Air Painting (Pier Village location) 10am-3pm

Thursday, April 19th St. Simons Island Plein Air Artists paint (Brunswick Marina location) Patrons' and Artists' Reception Dinner at Bob and Pam Cofield's home

Friday, April 20th Downtown Brunswick - Plein Air Artists will be painting from Mary Ross Park to the Marina

Saturday, April 21 St. Simons Island - Paint Out Event from 10 AM to 12 PM. Open to everyone with a registration fee of $20.00 to participate. Cash awards for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place for both categories. Participants and artists will be painting from the Lighthouse to the Pier. Paint-Out Silent Auction and Reception held from 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM at Glynn Art where guests can enjoy punch and cookies while bidding on their favorite Paint-Out painting.

Each day's accumulated paintings will hang in the Glynn Art Gallery for a silent auction that will end April 21, at 4pm

I'll be one of 20 artists painting the week on location - come find your next favorite in Cashiers

Nationally acclaimed painters from throughout the US will converge on the village of Cashiers, NC. From the crossroads of Highways 64 & 107 to the top of Whiteside Mountain, painters will set up their easels to capture the landscape and lifestyle of this quaint rusticity of mountain magic. The public is encouraged to locate, stop and watch the painters throughout this “Great Paint-out.”

OIL PAINTING CLASSES - "PAINTING YOUR VISION"

For beginner to intermediate levels
Mondays - 9:30 am till ???

previous class themes:
 emphasis on composition, and tweaking an almost finished  painting!,  palette knife work,  small paintings ( think gifts),  palette knife and focus on brushwork,  "using only the three primary colors: red, yellow and blue",  "skys and brushwork",    "Painting with the wrong end of the brush",   small painting - from life - BIG impact, 
"magic ingredients in your paintings- glazing and negative space"

  learning to "see" is the essence of painting.  we will learn classic principles by working from life or your photos.

we learn : mixing the color you want, learning to see in values, the difference in drawing and painting, and getting familiar with application.  Just lots of basic information with demonstration paintings and time to help with your painting.  I will send my suggested supply list when you sign up.    I look forward to painting with you!   I will plan a personal one-on-one class to get you started.

If there is something you like here, it may be possible to paint something special for you.  I  take only 4 commissions a year, so ask if your project may be one of them.    Pets, flowers, or a special landscape may be what you need.  Just contact Robin
